RoofHero AU - launch reference

Roof replacement pricing starts with a clearer roof scope.

RoofHero is the homeowner-facing brand. It should feel practical, direct, and calm: start with the address, prepare the Roof Review, confirm the scope, then show the right local pricing path.

Version 3 aligns to the live Cloudflare site after the May 28, 2026 launch-flow pass. It replaces old lead-gen signals with scope-first language.

Start with your address Roover

Step 1 of 14

Let's start by finding your roof.

We'll use aerial imagery to prepare your Roof Review.

01 - Palette

Warm, legible, homeowner-facing.

Blaze orange carries action. Plantation green carries trust and seriousness. Pampas keeps the product from feeling like a SaaS dashboard. Ink is for real reading.

Blaze--blaze / #ff7006

Primary CTA, icon accent, active selections.

Plantation dark--plantation-dark / #0f2620

Headings, dark buttons, serious surfaces.

Pampas--pampas / #f4f3ec

Alternating sections and soft UI surfaces.

Ink--ink / #191919

Body text where reading matters.

Blaze lightest--blaze-lightest / #fff0e6

Selected chips, gentle warnings, callouts.

Plantation--plantation / #1e4c41

Grid overlay, status dots, secondary accents.

Pampas light--pampas-light / #f7f6f1

Page background and quiet bands.

Ink soft--ink-soft / #4c4c4c

Subheads, body support, explanatory text.

02 - Typography

Host Grotesk for clarity. Inter for everything else.

RoofHero headings should feel plain-spoken and sturdy. No negative letter spacing in compact UI. No decorative serif. No monospace UI except code references inside this document.

04 - Components

Familiar controls. One obvious next action.

RoofHero is a conversion and trust surface. Components should feel useful before they feel pretty. Cards stay quiet, buttons are decisive, chips make choices scannable.

Buttons

One primary action in a visible section. Secondary actions are bordered or text links.

Badges

Badges label state. They do not become decoration or fake urgency.

Cards

Use cards for repeated items, forms, and framed tools. Avoid nesting cards inside cards. Border radius: 8px or less.

05 - Icons, images, graphics

Plain evidence beats decoration.

RoofHero visual language should make the roof easier to understand. Icons are simple line tools with one blaze accent. Images should show real roof context, aerial evidence, or the Roof Review object.

Icon style

Use 2.2px rounded line icons in plantation dark. Add one blaze fill or dot where it clarifies the action. No filled icon sets, no emoji, no 3D icon packs, no construction clip art.

Icon rules

OKRounded strokes, geometric roof forms, one clear idea per icon.
OKBlaze accent marks the point of attention: pin, check, node, active edge.
OKUse icons in buttons, chips, feature bullets, and flow choices.
NOEmoji as UI icons, detailed roof cartoons, worker mascots, or tool-belt clip art.
NOIcons that imply guaranteed savings, awards, or roofer ranking.
Aerial evidence treatment Real roof context + simple trace overlay
1

Photos

Use real roofs, aerial captures, details, trades at work, and finished roof surfaces. The homeowner should be able to inspect what is being shown.

2

Graphics

Use roof outlines, simple measurement labels, before/after scope states, and step diagrams. Keep them flat, technical, and human-readable.

3

Avoid

Avoid stock handshake photos, fake teams, exaggerated storm damage, generic suburb skylines, and glossy construction renders.

06 - Legacy keepers

Keep the old design confidence. Rewrite the promise.

The old RoofHero brand assets had strong visual instincts: dark green, huge type, textured ad cards, icon illustration, and a useful component board. Keep those. Retire the lead-gen claim architecture.

What to keep from the old system

OKDark green editorial cards for paid social, display, and brand-deck slides.
OKOversized Host Grotesk headline scale, especially on square ad assets.
OKSubtle green/orange texture gradients for campaign assets, not generic page backgrounds.
OKDotted technical icon language for roof evidence, measurement, and process illustrations.
OKThe component-board mindset: buttons, badges, FAQ, footer, CTA banners documented as reusable parts.

What to rewrite or retire

NO"Get roof quotes in hours not weeks" as the main offer. Replace with scope-first language.
NO"Compare 3 quotes" or any fixed quote count.
NOFake savings tiles, fake stats, or fake live roofers around an ad asset.
NOStock lifestyle photos where the roof is not inspectable or relevant.

Legacy palette, folded into V3

The older green/orange/beige range still works. V3 narrows it into a practical site palette, while keeping darker gradients and texture for ads and brand slides.

Legacy icon illustration, refined

Keep the dotted construction-line feel for marketing graphics. For core UI, use the simpler 2.2px icon set above.

07 - Hero

Address-first, not brochure-first.

The homepage hero should make the brand, offer, and next action visible without asking the homeowner to interpret marketing language. The grid background is allowed; gradient blobs and abstract hero illustrations are not.

Required first-viewport elements

OKRoofHero logo visible in nav.
OKLiteral H1: roof replacement pricing starts here.
OKAddress-start flow or CTA to #start.
OKCoverage and Roover support appear as state, not hype.

Do not use

NOLead-gen promises like fixed quote counts.
NOHero cards that bury the brand or primary action.
NODark, blurred stock roof photos that do not show the actual product.
NOGradient orbs, bokeh blobs, or decorative SaaS background art.
08 - Roof Review visual object

Digital Roof Scan, but make it RoofHero.

Roover owns the engine language. RoofHero uses the output as a homeowner trust object: roof outline, simple measurements, scope confidence, then a local pricing path. Use blaze for the trace, plantation for the canvas, and keep labels human.

09 - Motion

Motion should prove work is happening.

Use animation sparingly. RoofHero motion is functional: reveal the roof, trace the scope, show the homeowner what will be reviewed. Never add motion just to make a static page feel busy.

RH-M01 - Calm Reveal

Use for section headings, proof cards, and explanatory blocks. It should feel like content becoming available, not flying in.

0.45-0.65sease-outone-shot

RH-M02 - Address Confidence

Use when the homeowner adds address context or completes a flow step. Chips appear after the input, never before it is usable.

RH-M03 - Scope Trace

The canonical Roof Review motion. It traces the roof outline, then reveals the internal scope lines and measurement labels.

RH-M04 - Roover Handoff

Use when explaining RoofHero and Roover together: homeowner front door, job engine, then local pricing path.

Production rule

Animations are one-shot on page entry or section reveal. Do not loop the roof trace in production except in a dedicated demo or screensaver context.

Reduced motion

All motion must honour prefers-reduced-motion. Static final state is always acceptable.

Never animate

Do not animate the logo mark, fake live roofer activity, fake quote counts, or pricing claims that have not happened.

10 - Voice and guardrails

Concrete verbs. No lead-gen theatre.

RoofHero should sound like a useful operator who understands the roof and the homeowner's stress. It should never sound like a quote marketplace selling urgency.
